Lupercalia vas there only in the beginning when it was the rise of Christianity but it was ban, because it was view as "un-Christian" by the end of the fifth century. But until much later the day got assosiated with love, because during the Middle Ages it was commonly believed in France and England tha Feburary 14 was the beginning of bird's mating season. Valentine greetings were popular back in the Middle Ages, though written valentine's began to appear in 1400. American's began to exchange hand-made valentines in the early 1700. Now which is 2018 valentines day is the second largest card-sending holdiday of the year because each 1 billion cards are sent.
