"In life as in football, you won't go far, unless you know where the goalpost are"

"In life as in football, you won't go far, unless you know where the goalposts are"

I think that this quote means that in order to go far you need to have goals to know what are you going to do with your life. The quote is compared to football because in order to score you need a goalpost to know where you are going to throw the ball to, they are similar because you need to try hard and work hard in order to get complete your goal. For example, I have goals on my mind set up on what I want to study for or do and I have goals written down on my planing goals journal. Having goals means how much important you think how life is because you want to achieve great stuff you have want in life or to experience. Another example, would be for people that get into college they went so far and are doing something good for there life because they want a better future. Going far means when you are getting prepared and completing your goal because you really want to achieve your goal and be a successful person. People that don't have goals end up having a bad future because they don't even know what they want to do with there life. But, people never be one of those persons make goals and achieve them.

"Only those live who do good"

"Only those live who do good"
This quote means that only people get to enjoy life by doing good and always choosing the right. An example for this would be a person who is always being positive, takes care of there family, and help others who are in need. People that are always doing the right and bringing/having positive vibes get to achieve more by getting great opportunities in life. People that don't do good people do not even get notice because of the negative attitude they have and they are bringing trying to get other people to be the same way. Usually people that have a negative attitude always have a bad day because of there mood and every time they want to do something there plans/goals will fail because of the bad thoughts they have. An example for having a positive mind and starting a good day will be that today my sister is having a positive day and when we were coming to school she found $30 dollars on the street. What I am trying to say that when you are positive or helping others in need you get something good like a reward. This quote relates to "Enthusiasm makes a difference" because the more you are enthusiast and enjoying your life, the more you can help people to change there attitude to a better one. People could start changing their attitude it is never late to that if you want to achieve great things in life.

What's right ins't always popular. What's popular isn't always right.

"What's right ins't always popular. What's popular isn't always right."
I think that this quote means that what other people think about choosing the wrong as a popular think, while they do not even care about doing the right. An example for something bad that is popular is alcohol at a party, if you see your so called friends drinking and offer you alcohol say no and leave. An example for choosing the right would be that you prefer wearing something descent for a party while your friends are dressed up inappropriately, if they laugh at you then just ignore them and feel proud of yourself for choosing the right. Usually people follow the popular stuff because they want to feel or be "cool" when they are actually not. People should have a good mind and follow the right because people will end up admiring you and plus you will feel proud of yourself like others will be at you. Making bad decisions can affect you in the future because if you drink too much alcohol or be in the drugs, you will end up in a bad future which means that your reputation can be affected. But, if you make good decisions always saying no to alcohol and drugs and always choosing the right, then you will end up with a good future which means that people will like you, respect you, and even give you good jobs because of your good reputation. Never fall into the words your so called friends tell you to get into drugs and alcohol because first of all it is not even popular it is bad, and second of all they do that too see you all affected and addicted.

Soccer

The topic that I choose for this research is soccer. Soccer is a sport  between two teams of eleven players with a spherical ball. It is played by 250 million players in over 200 countries and dependencies, which makes soccer the more popular sport. People play it on a rectangular field with a goal on each end. Players are not allowed to touch the ball with there arms or hands because they can cause the other team to get a free penalty kick. Each game has a time of 45 minutes for the first game then 10 minutes of half time and the second time is 45 minutes making the game last 2 hours. The team that scores more goals wins. If both teams have the same amount of goals then the game is declared a tie, they might go into extra time or even a penalty shootout depending on the format of the competition. The laws of the game were originally codified on  England by The football Association in 1863. Association football is governed internationally by the International Federation of Association Football, which organizes World Cup for both men and women every 4 years. The first game was on December 19, 1863 in Limes Field, Mort lake, London England.

Cases of Influenza

Cases of Influenza
The current event I chose is influenza because most people get sick from that during the winter. Influenza is a virus that people get during the winter, the virus can spread but it can be cured or not. And what I mean by saying that it can't be cured is that people could die from the flu. This winter season has being terrible because all people got the flu even though they got an injection or not. At least 30 people have died from this virus according to the CDC. People from all ages are involved because this virus can spread to get the people sick. For example, there is this case from a 10-year old boy from Connecticut died from sepsis resulting from pneumonia. There's another case from a 21-year old adult who died from a flu-related organ failure. This is proving that people from all ages can get this virus or even die from it. What can be done to prevent is this to get a injection since September so you can't get the virus. Hospitals are trying to treat the people who have this disease.

Reflection: I think that people should get their flu shots before December because they can prevent this virus and prevent from dying. People should be more aware and ignore those myths and denials they believe in because they are not true they need to save them selves and others.

Even if everyone is doing it, wrong is never right

"Even if everyone is doing it, WRONG IS NEVER RIGHT"
I think this quote means that you shouldn't care what bad things people are doing that you should care more about you doing the right. For example, some people always cheat on test and the day you are having troubles you decide to cheat then, you have to think about what are you going to do save your good reputation and earn the grade you deserve, or cheat like other people and end up with a bad reputation. Cheating is the wrong path some people see like an easy way but, no it is wrong because everyone has their own mind and their own way of thinking and deserve the grade they really earn. Like another example, there was this kid in math class who always got bad grades, never did homework, and be lazy on class. One day he finished his work really early which surprised the teacher and she saw that the problems looked right when she saw that the numbers written on the paper weren't the same writing as his, the teacher got so mad that she sent him to the office to get him suspended. Cheating will not leave you nothing good because once you do it you end up doing all of the time until someone catches you and makes you pay a consequence for your own actions/decisions. Me personally, I haven't even cheated once because all good grades I have is based on my hard work and being honest. I don't even let people copy my homework or work because by doing that I am showing them that I don't want to choose the wrong. People always remember to choose the right, cheating is wrong and it will lead you to no good.

"You can't be right by doing wrong;you can't be wrong by doing right"

"You can't be right by doing wrong;you can't be wrong by doing right"

I think this quote means that it doesn't matters if you loose friends by doing the right, what would be worse if you choose the wrong to get new friends. Doing the wrong will never be right because you are choosing to make bad decisions that will affect you and others in life. Doing the right will never be wrong because you are choosing to make good decisions to help your self and others in life. This quote is the same like the one that says "Decisions Determine Destiny" because either you choose to make a good or bad decision then on the future you will end up with a good or bad consequence depending on what you choose. A good example for this would be a group of friends smoking that invite you to try it and you start to think about it, which made you choose the decision on saying no and leave away no matter if you lost your friends or they laugh at you. You can convince people you know by having the enthusiasm and explaining them the effects in drugs or alcohol and if the people ignore you well then just let them see the consequences themselves.

Enthusiasm makes the difference

"Enthusiasm makes the difference"
This quote means that the more enthusiastic you are the more happier life will be, and you may even encourage others to have enthusiasm. A person who is enthusiastic is the person who makes every ones day, that one person who is always trying to get a smile on the people. For example, tiger he was being enthusiastic by inviting ion to the party and making him greet everyone. A person who is not enthusiastic is the person who is always having a bad day, being negative, and having a hard time interacting or taking to people. Just like ion who is always lazy and sad, always having a bad day he wanted to go in the part but he decided not to because he had a hard time interacting with others and be he doesn't feel special. People don't feel special because of the low self-stem they have by always being negative or because other people makes them feel like. But, there will be always that one enthusiastic person who will try to get that smile on you, make you more positive, and rise low self-stem to a high self-stem. Enthusiasm does make a difference because I personally have seen it when my older sister, my dad, and me say "hi" or good "morning" to other people we see that the people get happy and greet us back.

I am a student at HPIAM high school
"I wasn't trying to leave a legacy, I was trying to do what was right"

I think this quote means that your achievements don't matter that what matters the most is your good character. I think good character matters the most because the more you are nice to people and do the right then the more people will admire you and want to be like you for showing the great of being a good person. Like for example coach Dean Smith he saw his college basketball team as a something else while the people think that the game was only about showing off who was the best. What he means by "I wasn't trying to leave a legacy..." is that he didn't want people to remember him for his succeed, job, or his achievements he was trying lo to leave people to remember him by always choosing the right and being a kind person. I think that his team won many basketball games because of the positive vibes and advice the coach gave to them.

Karma will take care of itself

I think this quote means that if you choose the wrong and hurt other people then the same thing will happen to you and worse. If you choose the right and be positive and greet other people nicely then you will get better stuff and good things will happen to you. If you live your life wisely them karma will take care of itself by making you achieve all goals and dreams you have. I agree with this quote because it relates on the way you treat others, if you treat people with respect then the people will have respect for you and if you don't treat the people with respect then they wont like you and not have respect for you. Karma is like a payback but in can be in an either good way or bad depending on what you did in life. I agree with the doctor because people that treat you bad you can just ignore them and be happy and the more you ignore them then over the years they will start to change and have a good side.

School Break days

School Break Days
This winter break was actually fun but, I feel that the days passed so fast that were now back to school. What I did on winter break was sleeping and waking up late, going to places, or some days we just stayed home. The places that I went to was to different cities that are near HP and to the mall. I did watch some movies with my family but not all of the time because we mostly went to places. I didn't meet new people because I was mostly spending more time with my parents. On Christmas we ate a bunch of a food and get to open our presents at 12:00 A.M. and has some cousins and uncles come over. On new years we didn't actually do nothing because we were really tired, so we only ate tamales and go back to rest.
