Duties and Responsibilities: They evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients who have mental disorder. They can also work in offices, hospitals, or mental health clinics. They could prescribe medication or suggest therapy according  to the patients needs.

Education: 4-years for a Masters Degree, 8-years of undergraduate, another 4-years for residency.

Demand or Need for the profession: 28% job growth in the years between 2010-2020

Reflection: No I would not like to be because I am not interested in studying this career.

I agree with the quote because people who are honest succeed more in life because they can earn a persons trust and friendship. This quote means that it doesn't matter if you win what matters most is they type of character you are. Meaning that people should be honest and support others because you can prove that you are choosing the right. Just like Abraham Lincoln he borrowed a book about George Washington from his neighbor the book got damaged because of the rain. He decided it was best to work for 3 days in the cornfields in order for him to repay the book. He did good stuff because he is choosing the right and he is showing people that he is not like the rest. Like for example some layers just want money and then run away without even solving a case. Which I mean is that there going to get a bad reputation because of that and later they will get a pay back for the bad choice they did. If you do a good act of kindness then you will get payed with something good in return but better of all you will be remembered by people for being honest and kind.

They also assist with daily living activities to lead patients in educational/recreational activities or to accompany patients to and from examinations and treatments.

Demand or Need for the profession: Need completion of high school and a drivers license.

Reflection: No I do not want to be one because I want to study for another career.

Podiatrist

Podiatrist

Duties and Responsibilities: Treat a variety of foot and ankle aliments which includes calluses, ingrown toenails, heel spurs, and arch problems. They can also treat foot and leg problems that are related to diabetes and others diseases. Some of the podiatrist spend most of their time performing surgeries, such as foot and ankle reconstruction.

Education: Doctoral of professional degree, it takes up to 8 years in order to become one.

Demand or Need for the profession: Compassion, Critical Thinking Skills, Detail Oriented, and Interpersonal Skills

Reflection: No I would not like to be one because it would not be fun touching other people's feet.

Plastic Surgeon

Duties and Responsibilities: Operates a patient's face or body in order to reconstruct the area. A plastic surgeon may perform two types of surgery cosmetic surgery to improve the appearance and reconstructive surgery to correct appearance after an injury or to improve bodily functions.

Salary: $407,709

Education: Undergraduate and Medical School. A plastic surgeon begins  with a four-year undergraduate program, with a major in some area in science. After getting a bachelor's degree they can apply to medical school, which takes another four-years to complete.

Demand or Need for the profession: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.

 

Reflection: No I would not like to be one because I don't like seeing surgeries. Also I am interested in another career. 

Character is higher than intellect

"Character is higher than intellect"

This quote means that the good manners you have are much more important than intelligence. Good manners is having good character and doing greats acts of kindness towards others. Intellect is having intelligence and having great thinking. The reason why character is more important is because people focus more on the manners you have than your intelligence because they see if you can work well with others or not. Like for example, the North Carolina coach he chooses people who have talent, character, and are intellectual. What means that if you don't require to have the three things he expects you to have then he will not want you on his team. The more of a good character you have, the more greater things you can achieve in life.

Physical Therapy Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities: Help physical therapists to provide care to the patients. They are under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist, also they give therapy through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound.

Education: CAPTE-accredited two-year associate degree program

Demand or Need for the profession: Need to take 4 units of Human  Anatomy and Physiology .

Reflection: No I would not like to be one because it is only about helping the physical therapist. Also because it would better if I only studied to be a Physical Therapist.
